This chest of drawers is inspired by the female anatomy. It is constructed of Walnut and Poplar woods. The Tickle trunk is symmetrical with a vertical and on center, slim negative space. To open the chest, position your dominant hand as if you were going to shake another's hand and reach inside the slim space. You will feel some contours that invite you to gently grab and pull out towards you. Just like that, the doors are opened to display (4) drawers. The (4) spacious drawers have bent laminated fronts that mimic the shape of the front of the cabinet. Also to note, this piece has industrial roller bearings on the bottom to allow for movement across the floor. A bonus: reach your thumb just under the top and on center. You will feel a toggle switch and if you flick it, a light will turn on and illuminate the vertical center, slim space. The Tickle Trunk is built to a finished height of 19" so it is also a suitable bench to place yourself and/or others upon.
